R in SQL Server

Earlier this year Microsoft purchased Revolution Analytics which produced a commercial version of R which appeals to companies that don’t like to depend on open source software products. It also offered support, additional tools, and enterprise support. The existing version of Revolution Analytics R can be found here Revolution R.
I’ve been interested in what Microsoft would do with Revolution R. The article R and SQL Server 2016 previews one product enhancement coming out of the acquisition.
